Mental idolatry: Fictional worlds and characters inside them

Fiction is a form of idolatry.

YHWH Ha Gadol wishes us not to make graven images or make idols and worship them.

Similarly, YHWH or G-d does not want us to create fictional worlds and fictional characters, because it would make his creation, the non-fiction world of reality unsatisfactory for his creation.

In other words, anything that his creation creates is not kosher. It is a form of mental idolatry, creating images, creating worlds.

Imagination is a form of idolatry.

Make believing is idolatry. Do not read or write fiction. It is idolatry!

How dare we create characters and worlds that are better than YHWH's created characters and worlds that he creates?

For this YHWH will punish us greatly. Let us never worship graven images ever again. Let us not imagine characters not created by G-d! Or worlds not created by G-d!

That is why all images are not kosher. All movies are Treif . All man made stuff is Treif . Let us go back and live in caves.

Building the holy temple was a form of idolatry!

G-d made for his chosen a holy mountain to live in its cave, i.e. The mount of Zion, Mt Sinai of our lord G-d.

Assigning a face or gender to the infinite or nature is also idolatry. Ein Sof may be translated as "unending", "(there is) no end", or infinity. G-D is Ein Sof = Eternal Infinite.

God in the sense of our common understanding – a being, a noun – does not exist as existence is defined – in space and time. Jewish mystics refer to God as Ein Sof or Endlessness. It is something that should not be conceptualized by any names of God such as Father, Creator, etc., or referred to as He, for It is genderless. Ein Sof includes all the divine attributes the Bible speaks about but cannot be defined by any or even all of them combined. It indeed is unknowable. However, giving this awesome God a name enables our mind to give It identity. A false illusion is then created that we can get to know It intellectually. However, Ein Sof can be known and related to in ways that transcend thought. It is important to realize that all the various biblical names for God represent only aspects of Ein Sof – each of them is a representation of a far deeper mystery.
